The Play Exchange is challenging schools across Canada to share ideas for getting children healthier and more active!
Did you know that nine out of 10 children do not get the recommended amount of 60 minutes total physical activity each day? Physical inactivity and unhealthy eating are putting our children at risk of developing serious chronic health conditions. It’s time we change these numbers!
The Play Exchange wants to hear from students, teachers, principals, school boards and parent’s councils on ways to promote active, healthy living across Canada. Your school could be eligible for up to $1 million from the Government of Canada to put your idea into action!
There is also a special investment available exclusively to schools: The Play Exchange’s Active at School Challenge is looking for the best idea in each province and territory that helps children achieve one hour total of physical activity every day. Enter your idea in The Play Exchange and you could receive $3,000 to support your students to be active. Check out our toolkit and find examples of activities you can use in your classroom to start the conversation of healthy living with your students!
The Play Exchange’s Active at School Challenge is funded by the Government of Canada and Canadian Tire. The Play Exchange is funded, in part, by the Government of Canada and supported by Canadian Tire, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and LIFT Philanthropy Partners.
